Digital NOTAM |

AIXM 5 enables the provision of truly "digital NOTAM", where, in addition to the static information, the dynamic data also can be interpreted by computers. Basically, a digital NOTAM eliminates the free form text contained within a NOTAM and replaces the text with a series of structured facts, which obtain to the aeronautical entity concerned.
Currently, two projects that are investigating the digital NOTAM concept are listed on this page. The projects emphasise different aspects of digital NOTAM but share many objectives and use the same technical and operational specifications. You can find out more about the projects by following the links below. Both projects build on many of the findings of the previous TUD trials, which are also summarised on the following pages.
