AIXM Third Annual Conference

The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will host the third annual Aeronautical Information Exchange Model (AIXM) User’s Conference on March 18 -20, 2008 in Washington, DC. The conference audience is intended to be AIXM developers and aeronautical information experts.
Topics to be covered on Tuesday, March 18 and the morning of March 19 include:
AIXM 5 Release and Maintenance
Plans for use of AIXM
AIXM in Aeronautical Information Management
AIXM Applications including Digital NOTAM
AIXM training will be available in the afternoon of March 19 and the morning of March 20.

Call for Papers and Exhibits

Exhibits/demonstrations are especially welcome.

If you wish to give a presentation, please limit your talk to 20 minutes. Please submit the title of your presentation using the registration process further down this page. We kindly ask you to submit an abstract by January 31, 2008 and provide the finished presentation by February 28, 2008.
Note: The FAA reserves the right to decline a suggested topic or an offered presentation. All presentations will be posted on the Web.
The presentations will begin at 9 AM daily.

Hotel Information

The conference will take place at the Holiday Inn in the Georgetown section of Washington, D. C. The hotel’s address is 2101 Wisconsin Avenue, N. W., Washington, D. C. 20007.

We have reserved a block of rooms for people staying at the hotel at the rate of $201.00 per room. Please call the hotel directly at 202-338-4600 or 1-800-HOLIDAY to make a reservation.
Note: Please do not use the Internet to make your reservation. The Internet site does not know about the conference’s hotel room rate.
When making a reservation, please inform the reservation staff that you are attending the AIXM User Conference. All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card. If the reservation is not cancelled 72 hours prior to March 17, 2008, the Hotel will charge first night’s room and tax. If you have tax-exempt status for the hotel accommodations, you will have to bring appropriate documentation when you check in. Check in time is 4 PM local time and check out is 12 noon local time. Please make your reservation by February 8th; after that the rate is not guaranteed.

Information for Exhibitors

There will be no charge for exhibiting at the conference. However, exhibitors are responsible for making arrangements with the hotel for any help they need with setting up their exhibit, including equipment rental and internet connection. Exhibitors must call the hotel at least one (1) week prior to arrival, and will need to fill out the proper credit card authorisation forms. When calling the Hotel, please contact:
