The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will host the first joint Aeronautical Information Exchange Model (AIXM) / Weather Information Exchange Model (WXXM) Conference on May 12 -14, 2009 in Washington, D.C. The conference audience is intended to be AIXM/MET developers and aeronautical information experts.
The general topic of the conference is AIXM and MET information Exchange – Graphical Visualization and Common Situational Awareness.
The last day for registration is May 7th 2009.
Exhibits are especially welcome.

Digital NOTAM is currently moving from concept definition and trials to operational implementation. The objective of this workshop is to re-confirm the support of the key stakeholder groups and to launch the implementation process. The following are the main agenda points:
- The need for Digital NOTAM in the view of the stakeholder groups.
- The Digital NOTAM Concept, based on AIXM version 5.
- ECAC Implementation Plan.
- International adoption plans.
- Digital SNOWTAM Live trial.
