OWS-6 Sponsors Meeting
Herndon, VA 20170-4819
, USA
This is a meeting announcement for the OWS-6 Sponsors Meeting on 1 May at the OGC® offices in Herndon.
OGC has issued calls for sponsors of two interoperability initiatives: the OGC Web Services, Phase 6 (OWS-6) Testbed, and the OGC Pilot in support of GEOSS. OGC also seeks to establish alliances with standards bodies having technology relevant to the two initiatives.
AIXM 5.0 uses the Geography Markup Language (GML)developed by OGC. In this context, EUROCONTROL and FAA are interested to sponsor OWS-6 activities that expand the OGC Web Services standards, which are likely to support the AIXM implementation and the digital aeronautical information provision in general.
